Did the transport company figure out exactly what happened to cause the damage? I have the same dents on my new M3W as well, although not as bad. Didn't notice at the drop off since it was 9pm and dark. Would like more details on what you think caused it since I'm still working on my damage claim. Also I have copper metalic paint so I think I will just get some clear coat to seal where the paint separated from the rolled seam.

--Kevin they're still "investigating" the cause. Most likely no individual is going to own up to it, so I'll be happy just to get a check. I suspect it was caused by a ramp with too much of an angle while loading or offloading at the holding warehouse. Good luck with your claim!

What struck me when I saw the picture was that it had been lifted by a strap arrangement. Either that or an over tightened tie down.
(Just had my boat hoisted out of the water for the winter, so that mental image may have coloured my judgement.)

If it was ramp damage I think it would show long scrape marks, possibly on underside as well. I would go with DocNic, it was lifted with a strap but why? Dont think it was tie down as damage would be higher up.

It was a lift gate with a metal ramp all the way across. No idea if something different was deployed at the storage location.
