Further to the previous, I have just noticed that, despite my address being in Norfolk, the letter had a post code for Ipswich namely IP32 6NU. Is that anyone on here? IP32 6NU is the postcode for Krazy Horse! ~iw

Well I'm now certain that someone at the factory looks at Talk Mog. I received a letter in the post today saying that the original letter was sent in error and would I please maintain my relationship with my existing dealer ( Krazy Horse )
I receieved two such letters this morning following on from the two recieved last week - never had so many letters from MMC in such a short space of time!

Like many others I received the original letter & also today another letter saying the original letter had been sent in error & to continue to use my dealer. Left/right hand syndrome? It's an interesting exercise, this. If you buy a car from a dealer, they retain all your contact details for their purposes. Same if you book in for a service or buy something from them such as an accessory or similar.
I'd be pretty certain that the dealer will retain those details quite close to their corporate chest, and not disclose them to the factory so unless the factory have dealt with you directly, I'm not sure how they will obtain your details..? I am sure that when we had the TM meeting at the factory some 18 months/2 years ago with Steve & Mark one of the subjects discussed was dealer communications. I think Steve said that when a NEW car was bought via a dealer the dealer had a form to fill in & send to the factory with (some) details of the purchaser so that surveys (?) etc could be sent, hence these letters. (Dave, Peter, Simon anyone remember?).

You're quite correct here. We've never had any feedback from that meeting, so I have no idea if this was the case or not. At least the Post Office are happy..

Received my cancellation letter today. Better to fix it now rather than letting bad feeling creep in between the factory and deelers over time.

I received my "how to molify the angry dealer network" letter today. Poor old Mark Baldwin had to sign this one.
I rather like it that we can all be a part of an admin cockup. Sort of reinforces the family feel. I hope the dealers do forgive them.

What is going on??? Oh dear - what a C**k up!! Red faces all round I’ve known similar such ‘cock ups’ in business Many years ago I designed court rooms for magistrates, county and crown courts and my company bought in all the chairs from a chair manufacturer and sold them to the courts but we got the manufacturer to deliver the chairs direct to the buildings and our delivery men would install them on site along with the furniture A new sales director joined the seating manufacturer and secretly went through all our delivery notes and orders and sent letters direct to all our customers telling them of their super new products and actually sent pricing guides We found out and we dropped them immediately and switched our supply chain, signing up to another manufacturer and our Chairman at the time literally threw their sales rep out of the door They ended up loosing around £1M a year on sales and went bust shortly after Every one of our customers remained loyal
