Nice car but , as a Rally car, not a Ford Escort,

Had one VMA 30J it fell to bits fighting rust constantly . Was going out with a girl at the time who had her own place . I left one night about midnight as I drove away a field for people to walk the dogs on my left as I took the arch to the right in the road . The houses on the right had those nicknamed French windows down to the floor. As I glanced over to them a house with its lights on and open curtains . A cracking dark haired bit of shapely crumpet was at the window in black silk French'ies and bra . I forgot what I was doing as the road twisted and my eyes and mind had gone else where. I hit the kerb onto the the grass field and spun it round . Drove off and home for a cold shower.

This is a car I love, from an era I witnessed in my infancy, led by my brother I did watch Alpines A110, Lancias Fulvia, Fiats 124, Fords Escort, Citroen DS and BMW 2002. The Alpine was my favourite, have to say.

There's an old video that isn't in any way outstanding, but for some reason I tend to watch it every now and then, I do feel it conveys very well that era (music helps), and gets me nostalgic Slowly sideways indeed.

PS - It's the '72 edition of the Mote Carlo, maybe this Fulvia shows up in it.
