has anyone managed to tame the side screens flexing outwards using magnets? I find the problem particularly great when encountering a cross wind at motorway speeds. My Roadster came factory-fitted with magnets and they weren't much use. They would pull off over time and regular re-gluing was needed. They would also pop out over any bump in the road. My +8 came with the U-shaped rubber channels and these are really very good. Far better than the magnets.

Folks -- I tried the magnet route with Neodymium magnets and it was only partially successful.
The total success was achieved by stitching some Industrial class velcro to the hood Flapfront and sticking a bit of the other side(Hook side) to the top front of the windscreen pillar -- this has two benefits --1- it stops the flap blowing outwards and thus allowing rain in at the corner of the hood and 2- it holds the sidescreens in at speed.
Why the factory doesnt do this as standard I dont know -- I even proposed a design for the hood front to eliminate the problem, sent it to the factory and they promised to sort it out the following October -- that was 3 years ago and the hoods are still as they were when I was in the factory last!!
The Velcro DOES sort out the problem and I found it way better than magnets
Cheers!

I have posted three pics of screens in the 'Classic Morgan' category of TM's gallery thing ( sorry can't remember proper name, it's an age thing).
Nev.

So did I but I fitted them on top of the original neoprene strip so that they are flush with the outer surface of the windscreen pillar. Apparently on some cars there is not enough space; on mine the driver's sid is tight and I loosened all the sidescreen screws and pushed the sidescreen back as far as possible.
