Does anyone have the full Morgan specification for Aero wheel alignment settings? Primary: caster, camber and toe , plus the secondary settings, including ride height, to out on turn, etc?
After 35k miles I think Tarka deserves a full check over...!

Also worth checking if the alignment figures should be taken with a full tank of fuel.

Just keep the front wheels pointed the direction you want to go. The back wheels should follow sooner or later

In your position Peter, I would be inclined to take the car to my local race shop and get them to do the job rather than just follow Morgans ideas. Likely you would end up with a better handling car

Now that is a good idea!
But Williams might be able to help?

I am not certain how much adjustment the Aero suspension offers. Without the adjustment a race shop can only do so much more than a good garage.
Anyone here able to comment on the range of adjustments in the Aero platform?
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I've asked Williams to find out what they can do, also DCM in Shaftesbury, the latter support a MX 5 race team and the former a number of racers. Both should understand what wheel set up means and I'd hope Williams would know something about the Aero...
Based on the lack of any obvious wear patterns on the front wheels I'm reasonably confident that the fronts are correctly, if not optimally, aligned.
Both have been baited with the offer of supplying 4 new tyres, about £700 for Pilot Sport 4s.
I suspect that the impact of 4 new tyres will be greater than any minor changes to optimise wheel alignment, but I'll have to wait and see!
I will report back in due course!

The S5 Aero doesn't have any adjustment as it is a much cheaper and more simple set-up.
I don't know what the set-up on Aero Chassis Plus 8's is. Perhaps they are all like S4/S3's or perhaps the latest ones share the S5 set up.
My S5 had all the stock dampers, springs and roll bars removed and replaced with a completely different set up.
A few remarks below from the people that did everything (this is just one page from 13!)
Cornering Analysis
Power Off / Apex This analysis looks at the car at the turn – in to apex period, with power off (or small application to overcome drag).
The rear anti roll bar is much too stiff – and the front anti roll bar is too soft, hence the car oversteers at all stages of the corner, from turn-in through apex and exit. Even when driven well below its limits, the car is ‘pointy’, nervous – and saps driver confidence.
The recommended ride heights, springs, ARB and damper settings give a precise, stable turn-in with much improved transient response. The car gives slight understeer at the apex. We have allowed the roll angle to increase to 2.33 degrees (inc. tyre compression), as a consequence of the softer springs and softer rear anti roll bar required to improve ride quality and eliminate the previous oversteer.
Power On / Corner Exit
This analysis looks at the car under power/acceleration from corner apex, looking at high and low speed corners, in 2nd through 4th gears. The analysis includes the effects of tyre characteristics, load transfer, traction ellipse and traction vectors.
With the current set up / configuration, the car oversteers strongly under power, even in 4th gear – and traction is impaired.
The recommended springs, ARBs and set up give much improved traction and balance in the corner exit phase, allowing the application of more than twice as much power in the corner exit phase, compared to the current set up - and giving the following characteristics (with 3.3 CWP fitted): a) Power oversteer at full throttle in 2nd gear corners. Neutral balance with 278 bhp (76% throttle) applied. b) Neutral balance under full throttle in 3rd gear corners with 354 bhp (96% throttle) applied. c) Slight, safe understeer under full throttle in 4th, 5th and 6th gear corners.

How does it feel from the "seat of your pants" comparison ?
