Reg its a few years ago that our daughter bought us a ticket each for a Saturday evening of Geordie humour in Newcastle city hall . As we arrived it was packed and it had everything from once shipyard workers to who knows what black white who cares . As it was about to start the chap on the stage said " Ladies and Gentlemen this is Geordie land if any of you are PC leave now before we close the doors" . You name it and it was used as a joke and no one was bothered more of them on the floor as the jokes never stopped . It was a 4+ hour show with a short break and only 1 swear word it was the last joke about an elderly man taking viagra to stop him pissing on his shoes.
Its a hard place up here and the jokes fly if you want a taste of it look up J G WINDOWS and search for the DVDs A SUNDAY FOR SAMMY . He was a Geordie actor who died young all the Geordie lads do a show once a year for charity no holes barred with music , singing acting etc etc . We have our tickets booked and our rubber pants as they take the P out of life and people . You can get the shows on DVD and on those night when there is nothing on TV I just pop one in and have 2 hours of fun, laughter and singing . The show itself is a lot longer. The swear word is in red .

This avoids you having to understand and respect that other cultures and possibly age groups have different styles. Given the mixed culture of Singapore I am surprised you do not feel more comfortable with this?

Now I am up back in my Cumbrian homeland ( although a long way from toughening up to wear no vest in Winter....unlike you lot to the east of me😉) we will try to get over to meet up with you in 2018.
