Yes, the day after we leave the EU the UK Passport Office will be issuing new, BLUE UK passports.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42443253

This could be a nice little opportunity to earn money: a special "First Edition" version for, say, £125.00. Only available to people who have a valid EU Passport with more than 1 year to run. I know quite a few people who would hapily pay to turn in their EU Passport!!

In the past we have been good at collecting things like visas and whole countries come to that.

Some might renew early to try to get the last UK passport with a red cover which might be even more collectible!

I wonder if, in our new economic circumstances, we are going to go for sponsorship. We could have a passport spo0nsored by Ryanair for example. Or Renault stamped on the front of it.

We cant afford to be too prissy about such things.

That's interesting Peter, I had not seen that.

Very good Richard. Always the jokes from the colonies somestick wink

I must say given I voted (heart was for brexit) against brexit I figure I will actually go and get one even given the other tedious admin it will need. Updating visas and other bits will no doubt take three times longer. I feel a trip to London coming on, I wonder if there are slots for the speedy booking available.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I was always very proud of my British passport and look forward to it’s return , but I read that the government has signed a contract for £490 million to design the upcoming replacement. Can this be true ?

I don't really understand why the UK abandoned the dark blue in the first place, there's never been a requirement for Euro passports to all be the same colour, the Croatian version for example is black.

I burnt mine when I stopped working all over the place and with any luck won't be requiring another.

I've still got my old one somewhere. It is full of visas that now of no value whatsoever. Including my once permanent visa for the US of A.
