Roger, top off always
Howard. It's not something I had thought regards the condition of roads. Regards who was having more fun..... I get your point and agree to an extent but it goes further than face value. I much prefer driving his Morgan, my midget, old bentley, even shopping in the herald because they all have more caricature than my mx5. But.... I was out chasing my dad about, with my daughter, in the sun etc. I'd have been happy as Larry in a convertible Astra. (Well ok not quite but you get my point)

The strength of Morgan suspension is not as fragile as most people think. In forty +years of Morgan ownership where i have used them in autocross {grass track racing}, stage rallying, all with no failurs. I did bend a kingpin when i slid into a high kerb while on full lock, and that was on my way home from work.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

That's a promising reply, regards actual experience of failure under hard use. I don't think you can begrudge a kingpin failure understanding into objects at full lock either.

You soon learn to drive around potholes in a Morgan rather than into them.
Leon, is that photograph taken on the road leading to the Worlds End ford near Coedpoeth?

It is indeed Arwyn. So as you know the potholes over the top are to regularly spaced to drive round unless you are driving very sedately.

Shocking roads in a Mog bypass the Mog and get passed right up your spine and out through your teeth, it's a very clever way to reduce the forces bound up in the car!

I have been told the series landrover outlasted the willies jeep becaus the jeep had a c section chassis that was able to absorbe shocks where as the landrovers box section chassis could not and therfore made the driver take more care so as to make it to the end of the day themselfs. Its an interesting thought. likley based mostley on brand loyaltey as apposed any serious reserch.

I've never driven that road sedately... Its used on most of the night events organised by North Wales motor clubs plus a bit of private testing.... Did it in thick snow and sheet ice when doing closing car on the 2015 Rali Bryniau. Worlds End ford has caught a few experts out too especially the dragons teeth!

And you steered round the potholes??? Or just steer away from the edges....
It's a fab bit of road. Iv caught a rangrover in a midget in the snow up there. Only an inch at most. He kindly let me past as well. I felt like mica haconan (sorry spelling)
It's good to know that ford has caught out 'exterts' I caved in the rear offside corner of my car, going up hill, on that last stone years ago.
