Greetings all. A couple of years ago, my ageing father decided he could no longer get full enjoyment from his 1985 4/4 4-seater, and rather than sell it to a stranger he decided (in his infinite wisdom) to arrange for it to be shipped from the UK to Canada, to where I moved a few years ago. After much to-ing and fro-ing with Canadian customs and provincial licensing authorities, we've enjoyed a fine season or two of summer motoring - sadly the climate here makes Morganeering a realistic proposition for only half the year. Formerly B595XWS, she now calls herself BFRR018, but at a shade over 100,000 miles is still resplendent in Jubilee Blue.
I've lurked hereabouts for a short while - long enough to have picked up some answers to a niggling engine problem (backfiring on overrun, failure to idle) - so thanks are due already.
I'll see if I can upload a picture or two, since etiquette seems to demand as much...

Welcome Oakvillian. Interesting to hear about your car, as you have noticed we do require photos! You'll find it a friendly place here and there is one other notable Canadian who hangs around these parts. I'm sure he'll make himself known shortly. Best Brian

A very warm welcome to you and your superb looking Morgan. I spent 20 years in Canada, so will be glad to translate any of the Cockney slang that goes on on this forum

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not a proper Canuck - only moved from the UK in '06 - so hopefully won't need too much translation, eh!

Welcome to the land of Morgan Dont believe the rumour that rubbing maple syrup into the wood work will keep it water proof. Its simply not true. It only make your car very tasty and your St Bernard will love you for ever.
If you are doing nothing, how do you know when you are finished?
