I have had the "pleasure" ???? of driving one of these in it's proper home, i.e. across farm land and ploughed fields and I have to say it was awful.
I can't imagine why anyone would spend a lot of money on one then drive it on the road ,however I guess it's a case of what ever floats your boat!!
Here for a good time not a long time!!

Have you driven one any distance? I've never owned a Series 1, but I used to drive my IIa all over the place. Huge fun. Modern cars have made us all soft I reckon.

I quite enjoy not having my kidneys displaced in one - It could always be that we have become more discerning after all an all weather Morganista is hardly what I would term "soft".

Admittedly, my IIa was an awful lot better with 4 paving slabs in the back, it gave the suspension something to do. And it was best not to try to do more than 45mph.

I drove one many years ago when I spent a week helping a friend set up his prawn fishing business on the West Coast of Scotland. I seem to remember being able to turn the steering wheel 90 degrees either way with it having no appreciable effect on the front wheels. Maybe it was just that one.

Nearly bought my first IIa back soon after I bought the first Morgan. However, while the chassis was the same the body had been replaced with a SIII. Just wasn't the same...
