That's clever - and attractive, in my opinion.
A DIY job? How, please?

Hmm, seeing that, makes me wonder if the standard plastic cover, instead of being covered in leather at great expense, can be wrapped in something attractive at minimal cost? Anyone done it?

I’d love to say that it was a diy job but sadly I’m not that clever. I bought it from Melvyn Rutter, I think it’s dipped in the pain that floats on a liquid, I know I’ve seen video of wheels being painted that way.

Looks great indeed! The technique is called hydrographics (printing) or water transfer printing. Ther are a lot of videos on you tube. The same technique used for the door handle of the easy up hood ( http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/posts/487936)

I did something similar with my last Mog
It was a year 2000 4/4 with a plastic shroud
I found out that the plastic shroud was from a Landrover TDI Discovery from 1993-96 (not the very high powered version which is a bit different) so I bought another from a scrapper on EBay for a tenner just in case it all went a bit wrong
I did ring Melvyn Rutter to see if he still did the plastic veneer effect ones. Unfortunately he didn’t do them anymore so I went with leather
If you don’t fancy doing it yourself, Allon Whites can cover them - you can ring, book it in and send it down to them for a quick turnaround
