Out shopping in mine today, after a long time off the road. It's a lowly Series 2 so not worth as much as the earlier cars but still a nice thing IMHO. That is just so cool! I don't remember ever seeing one in white. It looks fabulous My step-brother had one in a metallic grey and I thought it looked good but the white is so much better. PS. I just noticed there is a Costa shop in the background. Don't drink that stuff. I tried it once; it was a brown "liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike" coffee.

My Brother recently saw at close hand one of these Jaguar "reborn" cars and says the detail isn't that sharp. (he owns an Etype resto company)
So the upshot is, there are companies out there doing as good a job and sometimes better though they won't hold the same weight I guess
As for a resto at 50k-100k I would concur that this is not possible if the work is carried out by a reputable company and is stripped back to every nut and bolt.
I did mine myself and that owed me 75k inc the donor which was 14k back when you could get them for that

What a transformation. That's looking great. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished car.

Looking fantastic. I have a friend with an E type going slowly through a similar process. Your photos will give him some well needed encouragement.

The potential pitfall of restoration is the cost versus how good the restoration actually is ie wether its done correctly and at a sensible price. The is a massive industry out there as we know and its not straightforward regaring value for money. The figures can be crazy !! No wonder some restorations are carried out in far away countries now .
