I'm after a dateless registration plate is anyone has one for sale or sat unused?
There was a one in Miscellany last month, but I never got around to enquiring about it.
Nothing too expensive as the mother in law is buying it for my birthday.

Also have a look for some old cars near you, piles in fields etc.
The older cars have dateless plates you can transfer in some cases. Do a bit of homework and be open to the letter/number combination and you can save a fortune. Just make certain the person owns the car and so can sell it to you.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Be aware to transfer a plate from another car it must have a valid MOT-be wary of wrecks.

DVLA sell from £250 up, depending on the configuration/rarity/desirability.
Beware buying from companies purporting to have many for sale. Quite often they don't actually have them and only buy after the customer commits, usually getting their profit in that way.

I bought this plate (actually 2118 RU) from the Mg driver who advertised it in Miscellany. He was an absolute gent. Thanks to NeilL for PM'ing me his details. I believe it has resided on a '76 +8 for the last 30 years.
