Has anyone replaced or upgraded the M3W plug leads?

I'm thinking of maybe trying some Magnecor ones to see if it helps with the poor starting.

Double check the gap of your plugs. Mine were way off. Once sorted started much better. I also upgraded the plugs at the same time. Runs a lot better but likely more of a plug gap issue.

I have replaced my leads beacause i found wear at touch points under the cowl, out of normsl sight!

Being a cheapskate i took the simple way out and bought ready made Bosch leads (car ones)
I got them a bit longer so as to better avoid the wear points

Had to squash the fitment for the spark plug, nice and tight.

Engine ran better immediately but no difference to starting?

Probably teaching my gran to suck eggs , but have you tried a gentle wire brushing on the plugs. They can get quite sooty if you only do short trips

I've been using NYK Iridium plugs for a while and they look OK, however I've got some new ones on order.

It's not the end of the world but something to tinker with whilst the roads are salty snow

You can find better leads. They may not help. The plugs are important and I switched to the Iridium line with no regrets. The screw on nipples on the plugs need to be checked and possibly crunched on to make sure they don't come loose. The other thing is on the stock leads the spring clamp that is supposed to grab the nipple becomes loose and sloppy. The running becomes rougher and the starting is harder. Between the plugs, the loose connections and the barely strong enough stock battery it is a running battle to see what the constant vibration will do next!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
