I was invoiced £695 plus tax for a compensator kit (centa) June 2017 and Morgan paid the labour when I was getting a new chassis on my 2013 car.

I would say that 30,000 was very much at the top end of the Centa life. It seems that something closer to 10,000 miles is more like the expected life. There will always be exceptions though and driving style may have an influence.

What Ken said!! The drive train in an M3W is not designed for a life of stop light drag racing. I have a 153k miles on the original clutch in my Miata, it has been Supercharged for 125k of those miles. You can have fun without spinning the tires😁

I feel, at times, that (interject the sound of a dead horse being beaten) this bears repeating: My original stock compensator lasted for over 20,000 miles before it died. The Centa unit was taken apart at my chassis change over as why not? I had over 17,000 miles on that and the barrels looked great! I have them as we threw in new ones just because.
Never lug the engine. It will kill the Centa unit just as fast as the original. Keep the rpms between 3,000 and 5,000.
The low end of the rpm range will kill the Centa unit. period. I've seen videos of people driving these cars with only a spread of 2,000 to 3,500 rpm and they make me cringe. These torque converters were primarily designed for marine grade pumps and generators in that they would hit a certain rpm and stay there. They were being used to absorb the shock of starting up a pump or generator so it wouldn't self destruct. What we're are asking them to do for these cars is just so out of range...
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Something else to consider is that Morgan have fairly recently modified the rollers with uprated material specs and changed dimensions which may well prolong service life. Cant help thinking that the answer to these woes is to make it easier to replace them without motor removal by modifications to the bell housing and roller carriers....
