The avatar’s rubbish - photo taken for a pass at work by a colleague first thing in the morning but I don’t have many photos of me on my phone and thought it was better then nothing Some years ago on my first day at a government department, a receptionist directed me to a door to get my pass. I walked through expecting to see an office but found myself instead in a kitchen, turning round I encountered the receptionist in front of me holding up a camera. A quick click and I was sent on my way. When my pass arrived it showed me half twisted around looking dazed and confused with a shelf of coffee mugs behind me. My initial embarrassment eased when I discovered that almost everyone else in the department had a similar photograph, I think it was the receptionist's idea of amusement. ~iw
