Hi all

Can anybody tell me where the fuel pump relay is located on a 2001 4/4? I think it's one of the two relays mounted next to the fuel cut off (immobiliser) on the passengers side off the engine bay.

Spot on David, on mine the fuel pump relay was the front one.

Guess you know where I'm going with this one, throttle bodies arriving sometime this week.

You really are pushing on with this.

Have you had the new cams running yet with the standard intake system.

From what I know of running cams in nicely, they like to be run with a light throttle at about 2000 - 2500 rpm for a few minutes to bed them in to the cam followers.

They don't like tick-over or lumpy running for the first 20 or 30 minutes.

When I changed my ECU, I found it very difficult to get things running smoothly during the first few runs which is exactly when your new cams will need an easy life to bed in properly.

You are probably going to get a decent base map for the ECU but so did I and it still gave me some lumpy runs to start with so It just occurred to me that you might consider giving the cams a bit of running in before you install the new throttle bodies and ECU.

Yes, 20 minutes at 2000-2500 rpm. Started up straight away. I'm now at the stage of compiling a plan of the TB installation and a catalogue of procedures not covered in the manuals, such as the EVAP etc. Yes I have read though:

Very helpful, I think for simplicity I am going to keep the original 'LEVI' ECU in place for this and other functions, maybe even the speedometer?
