I recommend "Powered by Jaguar" by Doug Nye
Cooper, HWM, Lister & Tojiero sports-racing cars

Picked the book up for peanuts in a discount book shop. A lot cheaper than a car smile

I was lucky enough to be at the Thursday evening event at the London Classic Car Show when they showed the Lister Thunder and gave it big licks on the runway. 666bhp, evil black paint and a sound track that leaves you in no doubt about where it's name comes from.
A closer look on the Friday made it seem even more desirable and they have plenty of orders. They ( Lister ) would like to be in the same situation with Jaguar that Brabus are with MB, or so I was told.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Not as certain about that one Reg ?

MB have AMG as in house and Brabus as tied and loved.

Jaguar/LR seem to have the SVR badge coming up as in house and are focusing on this quite heavily. I have heard from one company I know that they are trying to focus on this as a premium/profit tool and drive up market. The new RR Coupe just released show how they think the £100k-£200k market is ripe now. They are trying to distance themselves from the KAHN and other bling masters. I think the thunder will step on their toes a bit?

I would say this is speculation so I am happy to be corrected. They are canny people at JLR these days and in ten years time it will make a good business book. Comeback from burning embers to soaring profit! Good for them. (Now give me a cheap deal on a RR!)

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

You are quite possibly correct there Alistair. I was only repeating what I heard at the show.
Since then I have heard mumblings about Jaguar being a bit miffed about the Thunder. Who knows, who cares as long as someone still keeps making cars like that for us to enjoy.
