Me too! I loathe that song, it manages to combine self-congratulatory smugness, mawkishness, and disregard for others into one poorly constructed simplistic predictable tune.

Sinatra was a great singer and he made some unforgettable classic recordings, but in my book this song is the utter pits.

My feelings totally, whenever this is played at a funeral I can't help thinking but surely you would have liked a little more time had you have done it your way - idiot...

There is only one song to have at your funeral and this is the one. My son has it in hand.

I’ve yet to gret, let alone regret. I tend to reminisce more on the good times and dodged bullets.

Never really thought about funereal music, but I rather like this.

Good choice. It's easy to forget what a fine guitarist Ian Anderson is.

At my funeral I’m going to insist on on a real obscure avant garde free form jazz track played in full that goes on (and on) for at least 10 minutes

In the hope that during my dying breath I can then at least have the tiniest chuckle to myself as I picture everyone’s faces as they turn to each other in bewilderment saying “what the f’ing hell is this”?

You are all invited

I have always regretted not doing what my twin brother did in his teens....accepting an apprenticeship with a classic boat builder. I didn’t want to disappoint my recently widowed mother and went to university instead.
And in later years, now I have a wonderful partner and as a result am a “grandfather”to some equally wonderful young kids, I look back and wish I’d not been so career focussed and selfish and had children. I’m now having the time of my life.
