I notice that Morgan 4/4s seem to have a "series designation" eg. 1,2,3 etc, etc. whilst the +4 seems to lack them. I have a 1967 plus four - does this have a series designation to define it from earlier plus 4's?

I don't know of series designations but it has the 4th engine type in it.. Standard Vanguard was from 50-58, TR2 to 56, TR3 to 62 at Tr4/ TR4A till 69

I am a past member of TafMog but lost touch when I sold my 1938 4/4. I have recently renewed my membership and look forward to introducing my recently acquired +4 and also reacquanting myself with the the membership in the very near future

You could split them into:
I) Flat rad/interim cowl/cowled cars
II) Trunnion chassis/rear shackle cars
III) Highline or lowline cars
