Yes great photos. I am lucky to live a mile or so from Duxford and spoilt by the flying most days. As a local resident I even get an annual discount card for entry into Duxford for everything except the 4 airshows a year. Used to be free, now £10pa, a bargain.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but the Yak 3 had an incident on landing and won’t be flying again anytime soon. The right wing and landing gear were ripped off the plane.

PS: As we are all nerds here you won't mind me correcting you that the ME109 is technically called a Bf109 ... and the plane is really a Buchon (Spanish version with a Merlin engine). And you will soon be able to book a flight in a newly restored 2 seater version (in the UK at least)!

Yes, i missed the incident as it was at the very beginning of the show. Took our seats whilst it was waiting to be removed.
The Yak in my photos is the second one at the show. Called the Reno racer as it apparently did very well recently at the Reno? Air races. The number 35 in the roundel is a nod to Bert Monroe and his "Fastest Indian" motorcycle.

Today have been at working bee for Warbirds Association. Lots of painting of walls.
However also moving around various aircraft including a 1912 B.E.2 and a Fokker triplane!
BE2 did a flight. I think i could run faster than it on takeoff. Not so much flying but crawling around the aerodrome!

I volunteer with a non profit that restores and flies war birds. I park my M3W by the hanger door when I am working and notice that nearly as many tourists look at the Morgan as look at our B17 and B25. Normally, cars are not allowed to park on the ramp but our leadership looks the other way in the the Morgan’s case.

Lovely pictures, not only of the planes, the scenery in the backgrounds too, I think I’d like it there.

Neat! I admire the volunteers who keep history alive. Presume that is the EAA? Flew in their B17 a while back ... so did you get USAF stickers for your Mog?

My organization is the CAF (Commemorative Air Force, formerly the Confederate Air Force). I have Shark teeth for the Flying Tigers and roundels for the RAF.
