It looks like the one that was up for sale at Bowkers in the Ribble Valley last year for £65K

I love the colour scheme of the Trinity car. Mine is the same colours as the Hexagon car but I would be hard pushed to choose my preference

Considering what you get for your money a price in the 40s does seem a bit of a bargain, wouldn't surprise me if these higher prices start to stick in the future - who knows though.

Hmm.. Not sure I'd use the word bargain, though.

The S1's are the first of a breed, and as such have a unique place in history, but the reality is that they were development models in true MMC fashion. They have a style of their own, and most folk seem to take to the visual cues such as the squinty headlamps, but as an ownership prospect they are very, very unique..!

From steering racks through to headlights, interior switches to windows and so on, not only do owners have to ascertain the source of the components, but also how to remove and replace, and without specialists such as SiFab and the interweb, it would be a real nightmare.

And the cars are only 18yrs of age..!

It's certainly one of those cars that you'd really have to research before buying, but that could be said of anything as quirky I guess.

If they go up in value in future, it will be due to the efforts of current owners and specialists, God bless 'em..

I think that is pretty close on the money old chum - I think in many ways as the use of our internal combustion engine cars get their use (enforced) limited in time the "real" values will fall. What is the point of owning a car just to look at.

It's certainly the way I'm looking at my 19 year old Plus 8, in a realistic way I have already written that money down so I have nothing to lose, to be honest I just would never own a hobby car unless it's totally disposable cash being used.

When you can pay £38k for a traditional plus 8 of a similar age i agree. Bit of a bargin if you are handy with the spanners.
