I am relieved that it's for cleaning wire wheels. My first thought was that it was a kidnapping kit.

Why don’t you get someone else (manservant) to do it?
When I had stainless wires I used a microfibre to clean them and occasional Meguiars polish and a wheel wax. Wheels off 2-3 times a year for full clean between routine washes.
At first I thought your cloth was to drape over the tranny tunnel side for a nicer feel against the left leg when driving in shorts!

And what's this wheel wax, please? I have been using the MWS (?) system which ends up with a finishing spray that attracts the dust to the wheel.

The nice people there serve you wearing period costume, explain all about your purchase including the support they give to the craftsmen / women who made the item. A jolly good experience all round. I do however have to point out that my love for paintwork is limited to its ability to prevent corrosion of the parts beneath it. If I polish the wheel rims on my car again it will be a million years too soon!

I find that a microfibre cloth superglued to the little hands of child slaves work for my wire wheels
