OK, I’m going to admit it publicly - I’m going to watch the wedding! There, I’ve said it! I love the way we British do pomp and ceremony, I love the feel good factor events like this bring to so many. The Royal family bring billions of pounds of tourist money, much of which goes to the government and I know from my dealings with people all over the world that many countries are jealous of us. I wouldn’t say I’m a Royalist, I certainly wouldn’t camp out on the pavement for days just a glimpse of them. Yes, I know they’re just people, yes I know they have no real power, yes I know they’re imperfect like the rest of us, but our country wouldn’t be the same without them. Now I’ve “come out” I understand that I may be cast out from the fold

Taking my two young grand children to Cotswold airport at Kemble. Then taking brake master cylinder off for the umpteenth time in an effort to stop the banjo joint leaking.

Well living on the river in Eton we really don’t have a choice but to be involved in the wedding! CNN have a huge encampment on the flood meadow in front of us, the Beeb with Chris Evans are on the other side of the river, we’ve rented our main balcony to Danish TV who commence broadcasting from it at 9.30 am.
Helicopters overhead, crowds everywhere and airport type security on Eton Bridge into Windsor. We’ll be having a bbq on our other balcony as driving around Berkshire today will be manic. Hoping everyone has a great day whatever thry’re doing...

Off to Lutterworth museum to hear a lecture called the father of the jet age, about frank whittle of course. Anything to get away from the royal wedding, but I'm really looking forward to this.

Steve, I agree with you, but I just can't sit and watch. I hate football too, so a run out on what should be quiet roads seems like a good move Must have been twice the usual number at the supermarket at 07:00 this morning.

We are a split household . Pat is big into the wedding. I am indifferent. So my plan is to fettle the MOG on the drive and put in an appearance when the buffet comes out ...good move eh!

I'd swap my day and watch the football !! It's our 45 wedding anniversary today but after an emergency plumber day yesterday ( £1600 ) I am now waiting for the tree surgeons to come and remove a 400 year oak tree that fell down on Wednesday blocking a public footpath through the woods and breaking mine and a neighbours fence. Estimate so far around £1000 so the repairs to the Morgan brakes yesterday seem brilliant value. For those who love football, hope your team wins ( as long as it is Chelsea !! ) For others, have a happy wedding. Role on wine o'clock
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

I am happy to say I will be watching it in background mode. Not the tedious run up or post event critique but I do hope to enjoy the main show. I wish them a great future as I think they make great representatives for the generations ahead. My niece is one of the Royal cattle rustlers at Windsor so I do have a little bias as well as being from a military family.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I'm with Steve on this. I have tried to think of a suitable unfashionable antonym for sneering naysayer to apply to myself but failed. My best bottle of Bolly has been saved for this occasion and the Morgan can wait for a couple of hours or so. Cry God for Harry, England and St. George

I'm happy to join Steve and John in standing out from the 'moaners' and enjoying a 'show' that we Brits do brilliantly. Sadly we won't be celebrating with Bollinger but prosecco will still add some sparkle. Cheers to Harry.
