Test drive done! all fantastic as expected...the whole car feels tighter no banging on hard pull away or into 2nd with vigour.. Arise sir Bleazey!! just a bit of belt fettling at Blackbush and an adjustment to rear mudguard to do now we home....Thanks for the loan of spanner's to Mark and Elcyd...

My M3W banged like a Barn Door as you describe - and to make matters worse MMC denied it ever being an issue.
Am really so delighted that LordB has fixed it!

I meant to post this earlier but picking up on a comment from Mark a few weeks ago - a 3mm x 72mm R clip is a great replacement for the rear axle cotter pin. Much easier to remove
