Yes, a perfect spring day here & all is good in my world, just had such a lovely run out in the Aero. Always has the ability, when it runs well, to put such a smile on my face
After cleaning the MAF the car ran well for a few weeks then the hesitancy under moderate or hard acceleration returned, so I decided to buy a hopefully genuine Bosch MAF (Bosch part number 0280217814) on eBay for £83.
I fitted it on Sunday evening & the car initially refused to start despite much cranking over. This may have been a flooded engine as the car ECU had not yet adjusted to the new sensor's reading. Eventually the car started & I idled it for a few minuted before turning off as it was late.
I took her out tonight, started immediately & then ran really well, pulling clean under all throttle openings.
I hope the record of experience to date helps others should they face similar problems
Volvo. Its great when a plan comes together but it will bight you on the arse next time series 1 owners will confirm.Hope you have a great summer with the Aero enjoy the miles and smiles.
