Just wondering if a my 2006 4/4 with a 1.8 Duratec engine would have a OBD port lurking somewhere?

Yes. Poked up under the dash a little to the left of the steering wheel.

Yes, it will be up under the dash somewhere. You have to be able to reach it from the driver's seat.

Ah just remembered! There are a few 1.8 Duratecs cars out there that have had the OBD ECU diagnostic’s functionality disabled and the ECU locked by the factory in an attempt to solve certain issues. You will find out when you attach a scan tool and are unable to read anything if yours is one of those. I have fixed mine.

If you cant see it, or access it, you may need to drop the under tray as some are poked away so high during build that that is the only way to access it for the first time thumbs

Stewart, it is probably just hanging loose (oo errr, matron) somewhere behind the dash. Mine is to the left, just above the trannie tunnel ( behave yourself). 2002 Plus8 so other models may vary.

Stewart,

On my previous Roadster it was cable tied to the scuttle tube on the passenger side, cut the tie and you get about a foot of play in the cable
