My Roadster gave me a bad back - the +8 gives me zero trouble. I suspect the more substantial seats and better suspension are the reason.

Now that is a shame to hear you loved that car so much a short while ago If you feel you have to move her on one good point will be that they no longer produce the 4 seater and the good one's will be in demand. I've had her 5yrs, I've wanted one since I was 10yrs of age. But with a knackered right knee I had to give up kickstarting old bikes. The knee and back make it very difficult for me to use the morgan 63yrs and knackered looks like I shall be seeking a more modern soft top I’d blame the wife 😉. Seriously though....you’ve done the Morgan bit and scratched that itch and your body is telling you to move on. Pointless making your back or knee worse. The fun starts......looking for something to replace it 😋

I may just try to get the front seats reupholstered. .... but it's the getting in and out that hurts most

Giles seems very happy with his Merc and it's a nice looking car too if you have to do something drastic, best of luck with the re upholster.

Might be worth going the removable steering wheel route. & sliding seat fully aft. I hurt my right knee a while ago & for a while putting weight on it climbing out (RHD) was uncomfortable. Found it easier to get both legs out first. ( note I did not have to get removable wheel but seat fully aft was required ) All better now however. & granted i’m Only 5’ 6”

When we changed from our M3W (unfortunately totally impractical for Cecily) I looked at a short door 4/4 four seater. That was not very good either. We have found that the long door car works much better as it gives you more room to swing your legs in. Just a thought.

I bought Wen one last year and I love driving it. It certainly handles better than the Morgan and the roof doesn’t leak. But then I like Z4s too and they tend to get rubbished on here too. Each to their own.

I may just try to get the front seats reupholstered. .... but it's the getting in and out that hurts most Don't give up! Probably a really silly question to ask.... however I suffer from back issues having had a prolapsed disc etc a while back.... When the top is down, what technique do you you use to get in it? I virtually stand in mine and then drop down. On the rare occasions when the hood is up, I do struggle getting in and out.
