The shop also said that the car would be higher over ground at the back when using the asymmetrically springs.
When mounting the Mulfab 4seater springs at the 4/4 would the hight also rise? Would I need different mounting blocks of another size? Heinz, the 4 seater springs were finally fitted to my 2011 4/4 while retaining the standard lowering blocks - no more sagging springs or bumping suspension and a very comfortable ride. Very happy...

I can’t answer your questions Heinz but thank you for sharing the data, very interesting But it did enabled me to quickly have a crack at merging the load/deflection of a standard spring with the data from a progressive bump stop and a contact distance set to 25mm. Recently adjusted mine to 35mm where they feel very nice.

Another vote for anti-tramp bars.
They will definitely prevent wind-up, they don't weigh much and if fitted correctly they shouldn't affect your suspension performance. Make sure they have a resilient mounting though.
I've just fitted some to my (non-Morgan) car and they're doing the trick.
I wouldn't dream of fitting only one, it goes against all logic and, aside from Morgan, I've never heard of such a thing.

Just for the record - I too had exactly the same issues as very well illustrated in the photos at start of page 1.
It was occasional and was told by a dealer " some do that sometimes". I tried shaving away some material from the tunnel to little success. I applied grease to the underside of the tunnel at the rub point and learned to live with it.
I then had a Panard Rod fitted and it hasn't done it again - not once, despite me trying to get it to do so. An unexpected benefit of the panard rod.

I have just detected the source of a sometimes strange noise By removing the lowering blocks from the leaf springs I hope to get enough clearance to avoid further cardan scrapping.

Or you could switch to the Mulfab 4 seater leaf springs at some point. This solves the problem causally and not only symptomatically because these springs are more stable without making the car too hard. The force is no longer led into a (too strong) deformation of the leaf springs. The vertical inclination of the cardan is then almost prevented. You get a more spontaneous feeling of direct acceleration because the force is transmitted to the wheels.
Oh sorry, I just see I had posted this info long before...

Thx Heinz! For a long term solution Mulfab seems to be the right supplier. The removal of lowering blocks is just my simple short term approach.

The lowering blocks got removed and so far I am happy with the result. Next step will be a shorter gear ratio at the differential unit. Most likely followed by a panard rod installation

Hannes, tell us the difference of the shorter gear ratio. Unfortunately the newer cars can not change it so easily. My 2014 would need a complete new axles which is too expensive. On the other hand in my case the added power makes it a good allrounder as it is.

My 4/4 has got the Ford box which may be ok for a Plus4 but makes little sense in combination with the 1600ccm engine. 5th gear drives like an underpowered overdrive My Morgan garage is presently checking prices and available spares. The standard Morgan supply did not work on an other car I was told.
