High Sinbad. That doesn't sound right, had a 1956 tr engind +4, it would pull from low revs plenty of torque. Look forward to seeing the car. PS Sospan is in North Wales next week.

'morning lads and thank you for all of your good wishes.

I have now driven the DHC some 500 miles since I took delivery last week. The lumpy engine syndrome at slow speeds has lessened and she seems much more responsive over the whole engine range. I'm not sure if this is because we are getting used to each other or if she is slowly shaking herself out of her extended slumber.

My biggest problem atm is grounding. I've a collection of small stones lodged in the sump fins and have scurfed a considerable anount of metal from the rear number plate. I know Morgans "run low" but is this normal or do I have a problem that needs sorting?

Going to take her out again today to make the most of the glourious sunshine and my new found enthusiasm for driving "the old way"

Many thanks once again for your input

I have a 1955 +4. Ground clearance is certainly not an issue. Loads more than my 2011 roadster. Perhaps you have saggy springs.

Hi Sinbad. Didn’t see you out and about during the week. We were staying near Porthmadog (aka Port ma dog). We went round the area and onto Anglesey but not much further than Llanberis/Bettws y Coed . Not in the Mog as we had the 2 dogs. Weather varied but we managed some good spells. Hope you enjoyed the car...rain would have helped find the leaks!

Again my 1956 four seater did not suffer this problem. even gave it some abuse on Welsh forest roads.
