looked so good for England in the first-half, but we had lots of opportunities that were wasted Yes, Sterling always looks bang average to me at international level, but apart from that I thought we were pretty good.

I think that's a bang on resume of the match. At least this time, we're not just relying on a single player such as Rooney. Kane looks set to be a very inspirational captain. Thought I'd get into it last night, so painted my face but that thinners stings today..

I'm sure both will enjoy life in the Championship.

Me too - looking foward to the the mighty Wolverhampton Wanderers being back in the Premiership next season, along with cricket and tennis. On the otherhand I have no interest in motor bikes or Formula 1 which others on this site seem to get very excited about!! We're all different! "mighty Wolverhampton Wanderers" ???? As you say , We're all different. It will be interesting to see how they get on. They looked invincible early on in the season when we played them at Molyneux then we stuffed them 4-1 at Villa Park.

A mere minor blip in a fantastic season!! Good to see sides from the West Midlands getting support on TM though!

That does make me smile, because when my sister moved to Wolverhampton to work at the European head office of Goodrich Actuation Systems (or Lucas Aerospace as it was originally, now UTAS UTC), she was accused of being a glory seeking w...er for being a Southampton fan. As to calling Wolves mighty, well I always refer to Southampton as the mighty Saints. We fans of more modest clubs have to seek our comfort where we can.... Oh, and TMG513, you have my sincere sympathy for Villa's plight. Been there, done that, got the T shirt. I've always maintained that one of the great advantages that being a Saints fan has given me in life, is that I'm used to the disappointment.

We'd just come up from the third division when I started going so it's nothing new. I have to say I really enjoyed the Championship last season apart from the ultimate failure. As least everybody has a chance against everybody else. And the coming season we don't have to go to Sunderland. Happy days.

Wolves were one of the founding members of the Football League and have been Champions three times and runners-up five. They have also been Champions of divison/league 2, 3 and 4. They have won the FA Cup four times, the Football League Cup twice and were UEFA Cup runners-up. I know Villa have a European Cup to their name but Wolves helped pioneer European football in the first place. That’s mighty for me!!

I was brought up in West London until the age of 12. My father used to take me to Craven Cottage, so I’ve always followed Fulham.
