Looking at chassis in build last week and the rear brakes were still drum on the Roadsters.
Your dealer should have an up to date list smile

Thanks Graham. I pre-empted your suggestion and answered my own query with this image supplied via Dan at KH.

He assures me I will get the 5 link system with coil springs as shown above as well as rear disc brakes, although your comments on current builds makes me doubt the latter now unless you can make out such in the image. Certainly the spec sheet for my build makes specific mention of 5 link suspension including panhard rod but doesn't mention any brake options other than front reaction arms confused2

It also sorted out my sagging rear springs!

John, how would you compare the ride and handling of a fully sorted Roadster, such as Nero, with a Aero Plus 8? Ignore the power difference....!

I think I'm back in on Tuesday, I'll try to remember to check then. As far as I can see in the photo, on the left is a drum backplate.

Cheers,

Thanks for the offer Graham. If its no trouble could you see if they are fitting adjustable shocks as well, as that's something else I was told is now in the latest Roadster spec.

Hmm, I think that will come under Construction and Use / Homologation regs.
No problem fitting as aftermarket, but I'm not sure can be done as part of standard production. Needs someone who knows the rules better than I. Aero Racing can certainly fit them, but that would come under aftermarket AFAIK.
And before anyone chimes in with their electronically controlled settings on a modern, that's different to fitting separately adjustable items that a new user could err, make a hash of...

Hello Andy

Yes, it's certainly do-able. The provisos are: being a competent spanner wielder (which I know you are), having reasonable access on both sides of the car, say about 2 foot each side and sufficient patience to follow the instruction leaflet. Feel free to give me a call and I can give a bit more detail.

I have the adjustable Spax with my kit.

Thanks Simon, difficult to tell from that angle.

The type approval document I've seen dated 21/12/2017 essentially covering the 5 link rear suspension changes for Roadster mentions only front discs and rear drums under the brake section. Wishful thinking but maybe there are more recent approvals covering brakes for this model.
