I finally got my set of bespoke silicone hoses a couple of weeks ago. I was intending to wait until I'd fitted them before posting a pic but I've now decided that while I've got the system drained down I'm going to fit a new water pump and also do a few other jobs, so that's put me a bit behind.
Anyway, just as a preliminary, herewith my set of hoses from Paul Roose Racing.
If it looks like the set isn't complete, I needed less than the usual 4/4 complement because I've already replaced about five originals with braided stainless steel
By the way, the lettering is actually white ( not blue)

I'll be interested to see how you get with these, I was looking at sillicone hoses earlier in the year, but my hand was forced as the weep I had got much worse, so ended up with a regular set of hoses. Should be ok for a few years I guess!

eta: they do look nice though

Nope. I was going to but two things stopped me:
1. I couldn't guarantee the red would be the same colour as the paintwork
2. I was talking to John Worrall about the colour and he convinced me in no uincertain terms that red was NOT classy ( adjectives deleted!!)

What is better about silicone hoses over standard rubber ones?
and do you have to use wider s/s clips on silicone, because it is I believe softer than rubber?

Are they custom made to measure, or off the shelf?

Peter

They will last a lot longer for a start Peter.
They have less elasticity than rubber but I don't believe wider clips are essential - best check that with a silicone hose supplier though. If not done already, it's also a good time to change to stainless hose clips thumbs

I do like hoses in blue...

Cheers,
