Having topped a thousand miles in June (a record for me) yesterday was a leisurely 20 mile round trip to join the Staffordshire MSCC at the Lichfield Cars In The Park event.
Spent the morning on the stand then walked to a pub in the City for the Footie and back to CITP for a great evening BBQ. What a way to spend a day!!!!
There really are some very nice people in the Morgan World.

A pleasant amble across to Kedleston for a walk round the park - a nice 48 mile round trip. With our tour to Austria, that takes us to in excess of 3000 miles for this year with many months of Morgan motoring remaining.

Yesterday I drove through a beautiful landscape in the Austrian Alps. Most of the drinking water for Vienna comes from this area (and flows into the city on a free gradient for 180 km in a pipeline that was commissioned in 1910).

Michael, lovely we really enjoyed driving back home via the Sud Tirol & Austria from Sorrento.
Today I am off to an AngleMog event with Porsche owners for a BBQ near Chelmsford. Not quite the same as the Alps.

Having driven many miles on French country roads over the past week (enjoying every minute) I note that Austrian country roads are in better shape.

I get to know Austria from a new side by driving with the Morgan. I drive small side roads and discover great landscapes. Sometimes even in the immediate vicinity of my place of residence. These landscapes used to remain hidden from me because I usually drove the fastest way from A to B

These landscapes used to remain hidden from me because I usually drove the fastest way from A to B  That's a great way to describe it, Michael. You can have a small adventure in a Morgan just by driving down a local lane that you have never been on. Something you'd probably never really consider in a normal car.
