Hello

Yes for me it would certainly have to be a 4 seater. But as much as I would want to owna nd drive a classic above all else I couldn't bare to see it disintegrate in our horrid climate.

Therefor itwould have to be sensible and my idea of sensible would not be dull. Firstly I was thinking E90 M3 with the paddle box. This car is truely superb....better than I could ever have imagined.

But then I came across the new Datsun GT-R and after a week with this sausage I am bowled over.......just ridiculously quick and comfortable and great for the Tesco run too.

OK, if only one car is allowed, it has to be 4 seats, reliable/high mileage capable, convertible, 4wd.

Audi A5 3.0 Tdi quattro, Ł36k one year old.

I have not tried it yet, but I have plans of convincing my wife that this is a suitable 4x4 station wagon. arr

Anyway, it will have to wait until the children have got their driving licenses and their own cars.

I'm with Nigel on this, but probably A4 Avant 3.0 Quattro - I just like the shape.
Not so with the Panamera.......... frown2

Either:

A restored and upgraded Range Rover Charles Spencer King edition

or;

A Jensen FF with some suitable modern tweaks.

One car only - very difficult!!!!

Being a child from the 80's there are a few cars that i would like to own from that era - Sierra Cosworth RS500 - tweeked to give the full 500bhp or a road version of the flame spitting, popping and banging Group B rally cars - Lancia Delta S4, Audi Sport Quattro S1, Peugeot 205 T16, Renault 5 Turbo 2, Ford RS200 etc, all are fabulous cars so i would be happy with any one of them.

Are you listening Santa????

Looks quite pie in the sky. I note their original press car was up for sale recently. I wasn't a particular fan of the styling choices made on the 'S', although I'm sure you'd be able to specify what you want. I'd also prefer a reworked Chrysler V8 to keep it more original, rather than a donor GM unit.

I can only remember two great cars from my council estate days in the sixties/seventies. A Jensen Interceptor used to come to the chip shop across the road from where I lived. The local 'Inventor' did well, and had a Ferrari Daytona as his daily driver. Otherwise I can only remember being impressed by the newsagent who bought a brand new Capri 1600, probably in '68. The neighbours had an Isetta, a Messerschmitt, a Wartburg Knight, etc etc. The local TV shop owner had a Gilbern Invader Estate in the early seventies, which corrupted my mind as I had to have one. I did that in 1990, and got it out of my system. He then traded it for an early XJ6 in salmon pink, and also bought a toupe. (NOT coupe) grin2
