Sorry to be late contributing the this Thread but I've only just found you guys. What remains of my memory is reminding me that on Rovers, or was it Rolls Royce/Bentleys, back in the fifties there was a button alongside the petrol gauge which when pressed showed the oil level instead of the fuel level.
