Nope,
Engine was fine. Watching it leap about on its rubber mountings when at idle was always a source of amusement grin2

Mostly it was the chrome on the oil tank around the battery compartment, plus various other fittings... And a fault in the wiring loom that used to take out the fuse for the right hand direction indicator if used with the engine above 2.5k rpm.

Cheers,

Sorry to hear you didn't keep the Harley. Perhaps you will give them another go one day. Have to admit mine, which I've owned since '06 has been no trouble at all and I do about 4000 miles per year. Engine is solid mounted in frame and I find the twin balancer shafts do a good job of keeping vibration levels down, though I rarely ride the machine above 75mph. Also perhaps drier climate in S.France makes ownership easier!

Cheers

Can't imagine why NA figures would be more than EU? Is it just an NA vs ROW and thus lower figure would be ROW's lower fuel rating?

I have to say that my surprise is similar to yours BtG.

The USA has some of the toughest emissions regulations in the world (predominately due to California) and the fuel isn't the best quality; therefore, I'd expect to see lower output, not higher.

As before, I can't comment on the power delivery of the Hog-engine, nor can I comment on a better choice of engine because my knowledge of bikes and their engines is limited; however, the concept is very exciting and I understand that the development car is an absolute hoot to drive (and very rapid).

Just spotted this on the MMC website.

Anyone any ideas how big the number plates will need to be. Will they be bike sized?
