How much?? Five pounds for a bacon roll? I will pack some home made sandwiches... It was something like that at LMC. As usual I took my own food for the sake of my stomach.

Think you must realise that the catering wagons have to pay a massive amount to be on the site. But the topic is about tickets not food ! Nobody has to pay the price .

The NAAFI bacon comes from Goodwood's own farm, organic (if that's important to you). The bacon roll is very tasty indeed and I don't find a fiver unreasonable at an event like the Revival.
However, as pointed out, you are not obliged to buy anything on site. Unlike many events which relieve you of anything edible on entry, at Goodwood you can take in as much provender as you can carry.

I'm attending the DTM meeting at Brands this weekend and fully expect to pay similar prices for the catering - if you attend an International event you do expect to pay a bit more. £5 for a bacon roll is not a problem really.

Most events of this kind expect the catering vans to tender for their pitch. A neighbour has a Pasty van and has to judge her tender values quite carefully. Slightly too low on a couple of events 2 years ago and she lost out completely. Too high and a poor weather day can substantially reduce profits.

Blimey! I was only joking about the cost of bacon roll and fully recognise the overheads of catering etc. Sincere apologies for the thread drift too. Yes indeed the topic was tickets and not food. Again my apologies for upsetting anyone.

Goodwood food is great value compared to LMC -20 euro for a thimble full of coffee and a tiny Baguette ! Yet the French supermarkets are great value only got caught once.
