You could go to canal street in NY and get a couple of knock offs. Mount them as above. I am looking at the same problem for my Coupe. One option is to use the iPhone or a dedicated iPad mini as the head unit directly into the amp. This would mean the same gap. I was planning to have a laugh and get something ultra retro off eBay or just leave the existing unit in there dead. Other options. Was to fit a single DIn like the alpine hero9. I also did not want to end up with a. Gap.
