They are often a bit steep for a Morgan.

But do note, they were priced at £50 when I bought them, so shop around - this link has them at twice the price for some reason.

Thanks Neil I'll have a shop around. I have a steel welded set but they are a bit clumpy.

Thanks for the other tips on here guys very useful.

I've had a whimsical letter from an owner (re my column in Miscellany) which I might just reproduce here for the collective view............

Before I respond.............

By the way...ChateauW is surrounded by speed bumps. Eight one way, and six the other................

Here we go. Remember that the writer may be on TM, so Queensberry Rules please..................

".....nowhere in Dave's column, or seemingly elsewhere in the informative Miscellany, does anyone address what I see as the elephant in the room.

I fully realise that the Church of Morgan has, as part of its creed, that Sleeping Policemen are an Abomination and that the High Priests refuse to consider an accommodation regarding such Satanic Devices; firmly believing the only solution is the annihilation of same by the secular authorities.

As a devout pragmatist I put little faith in the power of posturing politicians to initiate useful change and so I turn to realists like yourselves for advice. Otherwise I seemed doomed to only visit places I've been before and where is the adventure in that?"

Simple. Drive a 4/4 with 165 section tyres. Even with the SSL front suspension set on the low ride height option I never ground on any speed humps.

Or fit a skid plate.
