Hello, I have been thinking about some acoustic improvements on the bonnet of my 4/4 and did so with an astonishing result. The new anti-drumming mats (sort of Alubutyl by Surga ) take up most of the vibrations of that huge metal surface. I also added 2 heat-resistant foam strips at the hinge between the panels. Hi, The heavier Alubutyl alternative can be found on the internet https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XTDC243/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It should (so they say) resist to temperatures up to 160 degrees Celsius. I haven't been stuck in holiday traffic yet but it seems to do just fine. In the meantime I am working on a self-made Bimini top. I will keep the honourable community updated... Greetings Mich
