the trad chassis would not survivie crash testing and worse still if the batteries are punctured they catch fire!

That is a very nice looking alternative and in production, I'll bet that's lots of fun too. I'm not surprised they have sold this years production, just looked on their Facebook site and they are damn gorgeous  ..

They look fabulous I don’t think they are road legal though, I think reading the blurb they are just made for vintage style track racing
