Simon's testament to the strength of the safety cell was true in 1969 as well when the ubiquitous +8 first saw the light of day. In the book MORGAN First and Last of the Real Sports Cars on page 135 there is an most horrific looking wreck of a +8 with a double rear axle truck on its side resting on the C/L longtitudinally of the Mog. The caption reads " The strength of the Plus 8 : this one crashed in Sweden at 110kM. The passengers were not seriously hurt. http://s448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205...=Morgan8001.jpgHopefully this takes you to the scanned image.
