What a sad look - hopefully driver & passenger are better up than the poor Aeromax!

It doesn´t matter how fast it becomes, but how it becomes fast. laugh2

Yes you can only hope the occupants didn't suffer as much as the car has. From the firewall back it looks pretty intact, but I'm not sure where the pedal box on a non-traditional is, this is another area where a lot of physical damage can occur.
Let's hope both the car and occupants live to drive another day because she does look sad at the moment.

Any idea how long the car had been at the factory? Just trying to tie loose ends together innocent

Cheers,

1560: in view of recent events, don't you think that this thread is somewhat ghoulish, particularly as we don't know if someone was hurt in this apparently serious accident?

Well, it always is sad to see a broken car, but it reminds us of both the cars&occcupants fragility,

This picture was already 'public'

It maybe has ben a salutory message for us all 1560 to maybe lift off the loud pedal a little especially at this time of year for those of us that carry on the pursuit of pleasure all year round.
For that reason alone in my humble opinion the sad picture has been worth the journey. thinking

Asbo, Boshly and I had a good look at the car whilst at the factory. We did not take any photos because we didn't know what the situation of the driver was.

I have subsequently learned that no one was seriously injured in the accident and in all honesty, having seen the car, it is a testament to how well engineered these cars are.

The Aeromax hit an intimate object, with such force that it ripped the engine and drive-train from the car. The gear knob was pulled from the transmission tunnel and out with the drive-train!; that is how hard the impact was. The cabin was almost entirely untouched, although the force of the impact buckled the rear of the roof and popped out the rear window. All of this, and more, and the driver walked away from the crash.

As 4/4sportsfun has said, a good reminder how things can go horribly wrong when you drop your concentration for a moment.

Stay safe. smile

Wow! Is that mean't to happen, or is it the benefit of using aluminium?

Is it the car we thought it was?
