Pull it off very very slowly, if it’s to hard to pull, then apply a little heat with a hair dryer...

Same problem with the Plus 8: I had the film replaced once, but the drivers side is now as scuffed as it was a couple of years ago.

I am tempted to take the film off, use it to make a template and then buy a length of the film and then replace the film every year..... My son Andy has experience in applying colour wrap and said that on a nice simple flat surface like the running board it will not be difficult.

I've also considered fitting tread rubbers, as we had on the Roadster.

Hi Peter, once the film has been removed you will be unable to use it as a template, it will be destroyed. Andy is correct, flat areas like the running boards are much easier, the most tricky area is the front wings where it curves...

I thought it would come off as a single sheet! Obviously too simple!

If I tape brown paper over the existing film it should be possible to use a soft pencil to mark out the edges, brass rubbing style. Then I can cut a paper template to use to mark out the film.

Perhaps...

You can get some of the 3M Ventureshield on Amazon including the squeeze applicator if this helps.
