Having bought a new cheap Halfords cover it was blowing off due to the current high winds so a quick solution was needed. Being a dedicated follower of fashion (perhaps 50 years ago) I cut the elastic waistband of a pair Calvin Klein underpants and found it a perfect tight fit around the front number plate. You could say that Calvin Klein Underpants prevent blowing off, works a treat. https://tm-img.com/image/YeY5v

For fitting information the Halfords cover is small the pants are medium. (honestly)

Not in the least trendy, but excellent quality, roomy elasticated fit and very durable looking is this multi-layer breathable storm cover I bought a while ago and now succesfully used. Very reasonable price as well - comes with securing straps and packs away into its own valise.
