What is it?

Hi,

I'd love to know what this vehicle is (or was). I photographed it in Sheffield in 1987. The registration number was XOP 452. Any suggestions?

It looks like one of the plethora of fibre glass kit cars from around that time, never seen one of those before. I recall quite a few were Triumph Herald based.

The DVLC has no record of this number plate, which would be pre-1965. I know many kit cars used the Herald/Spitfire as a basis because of their separate chassis.

When you see that you have to say, it's not as easy to find a great shape as the Morgan has it.

I got up to 'F' reg and gave up! It's presumably a kit car based on an MGB then.

Could even be MGA.

Maybe not on a J plate though.

Perhaps you need a larger screen, the "J" is clearly visible on mine. smile

DVLA say MG 1798 so MGB.

Not to my taste, I must say.
