Dennis Glavis has just taken delivery of his first shipment of 2 Roadsters, this is a big day for Morgan in America.

Good Luck to both dealers out there.

Are these the ones without engines, to be sourced and fitted in the US?

Would be interesting to see if the finished product has the ECU throttle lag issue. I'm guessing the manual Mustang didn't when the V6 version was an option

My understanding is that MMC is selling the Crate Engines, sourced in the UK, back to a third party in the USA that is working with the dealers. Seems a bit bonkers to me.

It's about control, I expect. How can you offer any form of guarantee as a manufacturer if people are scouring engines willy nilly..?

Sorry to misled you, like Peter I have read somewhere that the engines will be the UK sourced one's but I thought the rev hanging was supposed to be fixed now after Adrian's initial work as a guinea pig for the factory about 3 years ago.

I can't imagine the USA customer will stand for that sort of nonsense with the prices they will be paying for one, so I hope they have it sorted.

Yes SBM initially thought so too but sadly, I can assure you, it hasn't. See here

Given the suggested engine sourcing, it doesn't bode well for US customers.

Thanks for the update I notice I commented on the thread but didn't read the whole thing otherwise I would have seen the reference to the hanging still being present.
I really hope KH can get to grips with this for you guys it must be a bit of a pain to work around. Can't help wondering why the factory haven't cracked it yet though as I think the American market will be far less tolerant than the UK is.
