Mechanical repairs have commenced but still waiting on the bodywork repair panels. Technically, it is progress...

Mechanical repairs have commenced but still waiting on the bodywork repair panels. Technically, it is progress... I know this is probably a stupid question, but doesn't MMC operate like other manufacturers and have "part" in inventory? I can see Ford waiting until the factory has a call to make a front fender and then schedules it into the production run. In the case of a M3W body panel, do you have to wait until it's put into the schedule just like a new build and then in 6 months the body part will be shipped out? I'm being a bit facetious, but that's pretty much been the case on body and chassis parts in the past. I do really hope that you have a quick turnaround and are back on the road soon.

As I understand it, the body panels go from the presser to the assembler and then get delivered to Morgan pretty much in one piece ready for paint. The trouble is that I don't want a full body, but just one or two of the component panels which Morgan definitely don't stock but do list as available albeit not when they are available. I believe the system is one step beyond "just in time" and is best known as "not in time" I can feel a mid-winter tour of the north west highlands coming on to celebrate the repair!
