Hi,
Need a little advice please.The factory had my seat out for a small repair and now I can't get it to slide fore and aft without a monumental effort. I assume something's got tightened up too much but want to make sure I attack the right bits.

Is it lubricated on the runners?

I, unfortunately, don't have any answers for you on this one. Only to say that I have a one year old 4/4 and the seat adjustment on mine are really quite tight (both seats).
I would assume that the runners on my seats would be lubricated from new so if they can be adjusted to run a bit easier, I too would be very interested to hear from anyone with a solution.

The runners are quite sticky anyway, but by the sound of it, they have been replaced slightly out of line. If you look at my 'How to' remove the seats post, you'll see that mine were retained by six bolts - three each side. Morgan being Morgan, yours may be a bit different, and you may or may not have wooden spacers under the runners. When my seats were out I applied some spray grease to the runners, and this did help. I suggest that you slacken off the bolts on one runner, and see if there's any jiggle room. If not, loosen both and jiggle. No need to remove completely unless you want to do a thorough lubrication job - probably not necessary.
